Every space tells a story.

Ours begin with texture, light, and intention - and end in quiet sophistication.

Bohemian Bungalow Remodel

Bedroom with a wooden platform bed, white bedding, dark blanket, and a pillow. There are two small wall-mounted lamps, a framed portrait of a woman on the wall, and a window with white curtains. The room has a ceiling light and an air conditioner. The bed is raised on a wooden base with built-in storage, and there are steps leading up to it.

Location: Kaura

When the Client reached out to us, she already had a beautiful collection of treasures: artworks and handmade crafts gathered from her travels across Africa. Our goal was to create a home that embraced those existing pieces while solving the challenges of her small, dimly lit bungalow.

The space was compact, with limited natural light and very little storage. One of our first priorities was to brighten and simplify the interiors, introducing light-reflective tones, natural textures, and thoughtful spatial solutions to enhance both functionality and wellbeing.

Because of the tight layout, we designed a custom platform bed with built-in storage; a practical yet serene feature that maximised space while creating a cosy, cocoon-like retreat where she could recharge. Since the platform design eliminated a traditional headboard, we wanted to introduce a visual anchor that grounded the space and added warmth. The solution became one of our favourite details: a leather-sewn tapestry, treated like a curtain, cascading softly behind the bed. It added texture, depth, and a sense of crafted authenticity that tied perfectly into the Client’s love for handmade art and African design.

Throughout the home, we layered earthy, neutral, and tactile materials (woven fibers, ceramics, wood, and soft textiles) to capture the organic aesthetic our Client desired. Each corner now tells a story: of travel, craft, and balance.

The result is a bright, soulful home that feels honest, intimate, and deeply personal - a small space transformed through intention, texture, and warmth. A true reflection of our Client’s journey and the restorative power of design for wellbeing.

Wuse 2 Apartment Remodel

Living room with three black leather sofas, a glass coffee table, a built-in wooden cabinet, and two windows with metal bars. The room has white tiled floors and a drop ceiling.
A cozy living room with a blue velvet sofa, a mustard yellow sofa, and two brown leather ottomans surrounding a round glass coffee table. The room has multiple bookshelves, large windows with grid patterns, and a mix of decorative pillows, plants, and books. A modern chandelier hangs from the ceiling, and a floor lamp with glass globes is on the right side.

Location: Wuse 2

Tucked away in the bustling heart of Abuja, this freestanding bungalow, built in the early 1990s by a German construction company, was structurally sound but stylistically frozen in time. Though solid in craftsmanship, the interiors carried all the hallmarks of another era: office-style ceiling tiles, black leather sofas, and built-in cabinetry reminiscent of a government office.

Because the apartment was a rental, removing the ceiling tiles wasn’t an option. Instead of fighting them, we redirected the eye and introduced sculptural light fixtures and pendants that turned the focus downward and infused the rooms with warmth and personality.

We began by stripping everything back to create a clean canvas, then built the story layer by layer. Warm iroko woods set the tone, while the existing wall niches were reimagined with new in-builts that added individuality and depth. The furniture mix combined rustic and mid-century forms with touches of glamour; all curated pieces that felt collected rather than staged.

A highlight is the feature wall lamp: twelve different shades assembled into one playful installation that forms a luminous backdrop to a teal-green velvet sofa, adding whimsy and artful contrast to the otherwise grounded palette.

The color story centers on beige and brown in harmony with natural wood tones, accented by black and brass details and lifted with subtle teal-green highlights.

In the kitchen, we retained the existing structure but introduced new cabinet fronts, hardware, and countertops, complemented by woven pendant lights handcrafted by an Abuja-based artist - bringing warmth, tactility, and local artistry into the heart of the home.

The dining area leans rustic-industrial yet maintains mid-century clarity: brown wood paired with brown leather seats, woven brown crypton-fabric backs, and black metal frames. Texture rather than color tells the story here. A patterned area rug, blending green, blue, and beige, anchors the space and ties the palette back to the living room.

The result is a refined yet soulful transformation. This is a home that balances modern comfort with nostalgia, craftsmanship, and art. This rental now feels warm, collected, and timeless. And is proof that with thoughtful design, even a dated rental can be reborn into a space of beauty and belonging.

Rock House

Modern living room with two large beige sofas, a gray armchair, a coffee table with a decorative vase, candles, and drinking glasses, a gray sideboard with a black lamp, family photo, and candles, white walls, and an open-concept layout.

Location: Katampe

Nestled in one of Abuja’s most exclusive residential enclaves, the Rock House is a bold architectural statement - a home quite literally built with the earth that holds it. Instead of cutting through or altering the terrain, the design celebrates the monumental rock on which it stands, allowing the natural formation to extend directly into the living room as a dramatic, sculptural backdrop.

This remarkable integration of architecture and geology reflects a philosophy of sustainability and respect for nature; not fighting it, but giving it the platform to be the star. The rock became both muse and anchor, its natural hues defining the home’s palette and materials.

We drew from the stone’s complex range of colours (i.e. warm taupes, deep greys, and rustic copper tones) to craft a contemporary, earthy colour story that feels grounded yet sophisticated. These copper accents, introduced through lighting details, furniture bases, and subtle metallic finishes, lend a quiet luminosity that contrasts beautifully against the rugged texture of the rock.

The client had already acquired several new furniture pieces, which we thoughtfully integrated and balanced with additional layers of texture and warmth. Through curated styling and finishing touches, we introduced soft textiles, raw woods, and artisanal details that complement the home’s architectural drama without competing with it.

The result is a contemporary, earthy, industrial, yet regal home; minimal in décor for a busy family but rich in atmosphere and authenticity. Every choice was made to frame the true hero of the home: the rock itself - a timeless symbol of strength, grounding, and beauty in coexistence with nature.

Organic Modern Remodel

A bedroom with a bed, dresser, and television. Luggage is stacked on top of a wardrobe. Wall decor includes three posters of characters from the Marvel universe. A dreamcatcher hangs from the ceiling, and part of a colorful wall is visible.
A cozy bedroom with a bed covered in white bedding, decorated with multiple pillows, a wooden nightstand with a lamp, a green velvet sofa at the foot of the bed, a dresser with potted plants, and framed artwork on the wall, natural light coming through sheer curtains.

Location: Wuse 2

The Client’s flat was a lively, art-filled home bursting with personality, but also with lots of clutter. Storage had run out, the layout felt congested and not practical, and there was no unifying design story to bring harmony to the space.

Our mission was to restore balance, functionality, and flow while celebrating the artistic energy already within the home.

The Client expressed a clear desire for a modern organic space: something warm, tactile, and contemporary, yet authentic.

From the start, the Client trusted our process completely, allowing us creative freedom with very few revisions, which gave the project a natural rhythm and integrity from concept to completion.

Decluttering was our first design gesture - not about stripping away personality, but about revealing it. The Client owned an extraordinary collection of art, and we wanted every piece to finally have its place. We turned the narrow, dim corridor into a dramatic gallery moment, painting it a deep navy blue and with this embracing the darkness to make the artworks and carefully positioned lighting come alive.

The Client wished to keep much of the existing furniture, so we repaired, refinished, and reimagined several pieces, integrating them with new finishes and materials to align with the refreshed aesthetic. We complemented these with new custom-built furniture, including a sleek wardrobe system that brought ample storage and visual calm while beautifully framing the large window front with fresh draperies as a focal point of the room.

Through a complete reorganization of the floor plan, we achieved improved circulation and a sense of balance - introducing clear zones for study, rest, and entertainment, each flowing naturally into the next.

The result is a modern, organic home that feels grounded yet expressive. It is a space that honours the Client’s love of art and film, framed within the serenity of thoughtful design.
